Why do people like dave matthews
When Eric Church performed a pair of shows at the Fiserv Forum, I imagine there were some fans that attended both shows, but for the most part, the demand for his show warranted two nights so 30, or so could see him perform.
This is not the case with DMB. The set list is completely unique With so many fans not only returning for night two but returning to see Dave for perhaps a th time, DMB has a lot of pressure to switch things up.
They do that by performing an entirely unique setlist during each tour date. While some artists change the setlist by switching around a song or two, DMB completely hits the shuffle button when performing live. Your favorite song may get left out as a result — but all the more reason to come back for a second night.
On Friday, many hits and fan favorites made the cut for the first night at Alpine, including songs like "What Would You Say," "Two Step," "Crush" and "Ants Marching," which closed out the main portion of the performance.
DMB jerseys are a thing While Dave tour shirts were definitely a popular clothing item on Friday, one piece of apparel that stood out was the combo of sports jerseys with "DMB" displayed on the back.
Several custom Bears, Packers, Brewers and Cubs jerseys were seen throughout the crowd, where fans could show love to their favorite sports team and favorite band all with a single item.

All of Before These Crowded Streets is legit. I dreamed I was in this really weird musical last night with an abusive director that would SCREAM at you if you did something he didn't like or get a line wrong, and part of the show involved me playing "Crash into Me", except the lyrics were different, and since I haven't played that song on a guitar since , I was messing it up.
Listening now. As if their entire image was about smuggling this dark brooding stuff into I don't have a great view of all the live albums they've put out over the years but I believe Live in Chicago was recorded on the Before These Crowded Streets tour and has some pretty great stuff on it.
Very nostalgic all of this is in a very personal way that goes way beyond whether it's "cool" or not. Hard to explain. I wondered how much more dark brooding is on Before these Crowded Streets than sous la table. I sometimes think the biggest difference is the choice of lead single.
So I tried pairing up similar tracks:. This is where the pairings become worse: Pay for What You Get - The Last Stop I'd say these are both dark and brooding though with themes of very different scale. Typical Situation - Don't Drink the Water Typical situation obviously inverts the dark brooding in the chorus. Dancing Nancies - Crush Lyrics are obv different, but I swear you could play the 'Crush' bassline over 'Dancing Nancies' and it would fit.
These songs are similar. Idk, my uncle has played in a lot of funky acid jazz type bands that jam out and I like that stuff a lot more. I worry about potential bias from venue size, expectation, degree to which the performer is your uncle, etc. DMB was always weird to me because when they were getting big I knew a bunch of people who went to college with him, and one who dated him.
The general consensus was that he was a goofball who told poop jokes. The bear eating its own head malfunctioned again last night in the technically ambitious "What Would You Play. Message Bookmarked. Whats everyones reasons for hating them? Particularly interested in the views of Americans. The guy sings like a muppet. Hes a 90s sting. Yuppie music. Hes boring. People who like terrible bands like Counting Crows and Phish like him.
Theres Sooo many. But i'll leave that to others in the thread. Which Muppet btw? If Animal was in them they would be so much better. Any real or musical reasons to hate him? He does all sorts of music.
Acoustic stuff, does good improvisational stuff, is great live, has respect of fellow musicians like sting, peter gabriel, allanis, sheryl crow,Meredith Brooks,Counting Crows,Santana.
